Welcome to our email faq page! We have tried to solve common
hiccups associated with emails for you!
Emails come back with failed to deliver message!
This normally happens when the email fails to reach its
destination and is bounced back. The email address might
not be correct so please check again. It should look something
like this: 'name@domain.suffix e.g. (name@isp.co.zw)'Read
the header of the returned message for more clues to the
problem.
Unwanted email (Spam)
If you continue to receive unwanted emails you can block
future sending by clicking in the inbox, then select Message,
Block Sender.
Problems with remembering email addresses?
You could avoid forgetting addresses by right clicking on
a message header in your inbox, then select 'Add sender
to address book' to record the address. When composing a
new message in future, click on the to button to select
and use it.
Accessing attachments
To access your email attachment, first select the message,
then look for the attachment icon (this is often a paper
clip) Double-clicking on the attachment icon, or right clicking
on it and choosing an Open or Save option from the menu,
works with most email programs.
Can't send attachments
lf you are failing to send attachments it might be the size
of the attachments. Most ISP's limit the maximum size of
such attachments from 1 to 2MB.Its advisable to shrink the
attachment with graphic software such as Paint Shop, Graphic
Converter and save it in JPEG format. ItÅfs more efficient
to save your attachments in this format. lf its text you
are sending attach it as plain text from note pad.
Watch for spelling Mistakes
The major draw back with email is once its send - its send.
Spelling mistakes could be embarrassing. Take caution! However,
most email programs are now fitted with spelling check!
